Linux Training

This weekend "chapter 17: the Linux kernel" of my Linux training pdf was reworked. It should contain the essentials about Linux kernel module management and Linux kernel compilation.

The rest will be for later (na mijn twee examens Spaans 16-18 december).

Standaard kwaliteit!

World Record Card Stacking

'took this picture moments ago in the Stadsfeestzaal in Antwerpen. Bryan Berg is trying to build the highest card house ever. He is up on the ladder (the highest building is not in the picture...yet).

to be continued ;-)

fun with bash

rofl...just saw this on the LPI mailing list.
$ echo !?foo?$:t:s/bar/baz/

(Just in case you're wondering: This will look for the most recent command line in the history containing the string »foo«, pick up the last word of that line, discard everything from that word except for the last filename component, and return that with the string »bar« replaced by »baz«. And just for the record, I don't use such things myself as my poor brain cannot handle them as a matter of course.)
