a friend of mine has a USB ADSL modem (Asus AAM6000UG). I'm trying to get this to work so he can access the internet (with Ubuntu 8.10 installed from CD).
The eciadsl-config-text asks me this:
Select your PPP mode (use the DEFAULT one if you don't know what this means):Does anyone know the correct answer here for "Belgacom Time" with this modem ?

Ik heb Fedora 10 en ADSL modem Eicon Diva.
Na configureren van driver eciadsl-usermode-0.12-1.i386 krijg ik na start dadelijk: uhci-hcd module does not exist, daarna loopt alles ok maar bij stap 5 (connection) hangt de boel.
Ben geen Linux expert, een beginner, maar eer ik het op mijn nieuwe PC zet wil ik wel op internet kunnen voor updates.
Heb zelf op aanraden van Belgacom en van andere 'Linux'-kenners besloten om het op te geven en een (goedkope) nieuwe modem te kopen. Het is al die uren werk niet waard.
(In Windows Vista was er ook niemand die het aan de praat kreeg trouwens...)
